About
"I saw the angel in the marble and carved until I set him free." - Michelangelo
Gallery Figaro is a not-for-profit art and naturalia gallery based out of Ishgard proper. Inspired by curiosity cabinets and private galleries during the Baroque period, this RP venue combines the mysterious, sacred, profane, and classical with the wonders of FFXIV.
A beautiful mansion stood untouched in the city for years after its residents perished one by one in the Dragonsong. Though built strong, divine, and still holding so many treasures inside, none ventured through the gates until finally the property was auctioned off. The first through the doors was no future inhabitant, but a fellow collector. The first object inside to catch his eye was not the abandoned paintings and naturalia, but an old newspaper on the floor in front of the atrium fountain. The title of the since cancelled journal peeked out from beneath a layer of dust. It read: Le Figaro. After extensive renovations, donations, and transfer of ownership to a board of trustees, the mansion has since reopened, and adopted the moniker as Gallery Figaro. The original abandoned collection has since been restored and put on display with additional artworks and naturalia items. Old rooms have been converted to exhibits, with new arrivals coming every moon. What will catch your eye?
Gallery Figaro is made possible through our partnership with the Eorzean Museum Network. It is run by IRL museum professionals and a team of amazing volunteers! Our partners include:
